Every child has heard that if he or she eats certain food, good health will follow- for example, “eat carrots to improve your sight”.
There may be a truth in all that because lots of foods are look-a-likes to certain body parts. Here are ten of them, which are not only similar to human body parts but also have a lot of nutrients, which help the body organs function properly.
If you look at a single carrot divided in half, you will notice that it has the same shape of human eye’s iris and pupil. We have already mentioned that carrots are the path to good eyesight.
The experts claim: “Carrots are full of vitamins and antioxidants such as the beta-carotene, which decreases the possibility of experiencing macular degeneration- one of the top reasons for bad eyesight in adults”.
Nuts – Brain
The nut ridges and lines in the whole nutshell, remind us of the human brain. If you look at it from the front you will notice that it is divided in half which looks like the left and right hemisphere of the human brain.
Additionally, it is no wonder that the experts refer to it as the “brain food”. According to them, the nuts contain a large amount of omega 3 fatty acids which improve the brain function.
The long celery stalks are almost identical to the human bones and at the same time are very nutritive to them. “Celery is a great source of silicon which part of the molecular structure that enables the bones to be elastic and hard”- experts say.
According to another interesting coincidence the bones contain 23% of sodium just like the celery.

According to scientific studies, shells which look like the human testicles are actually great food for the male reproductive organs.
“Studies conducted in Netherlands reveal that if you provide your body with enough folic acid and zinc – key shell ingredients- you can improve your spermiogram quality” – scientists reveal.
The similarities between citrus fruits- like lemons and grapefruit- and female breasts are more than a coincidence. “The grapefruit contains a high level of ingredients known as limonoids, which lower the risk of breast cancer.” – doctors claim.

Red Wine- Blood
The red wine is full of antioxidants and polyphenols, including the powerful resveratrol- and this gives its similarity to the blood.
When you consume it, you actually consume healthy ingredients which battle against the destructive substances like LDL cholesterol which causes heart diseases. “The wine also contains ingredients which filtrate the blood and that lowers the risk of a heart attack “ –experts claim. All this implies, of course, if the wine is consumed in regular amounts.
Everyone who at least once tried a ginger drink and has had stomach problem, will tell you that the ginger works. Because of that, it can be said without doubt that there is a secret bond between the ginger and the stomach, and it’s not only in the physical appearance.

Sweet potato- Pancreas
The sweet potato and its lengthy shape look like pancreas and at the same time, it affects this organ’s health.
